We have a few very large facilities around the region, but we have such a widespread region that many do not have ready access to emergency medical care. My husband has a heart condition, and we know that care within 15 minutes is crucial, but the closest ER is 30 to 45 minutes away depending on traffic, and we don't live in the most rural areas of our county!
